About
Urban Design & Planning provides services regarding community development, urban revitalization, long-range planning, and historic preservation. The department reviews and processes applications for site development plans, conditional use permits, plats, and rezonings, among other development requests. The department also presents development proposals before various boards, including the Planning & Zoning Board, Board of Adjustment, and Historic Preservation Board. The department implements the goals, objectives, and policies of the City’s Comprehensive Plan, and also coordinates community service programs intended to improve neighborhoods and provide quality housing.
