South Andrews Avenue Master Plan
 The Fort Lauderdale City Commission accepted the South Andrews Avenue Master Plan on May 18, 2004. The South Andrews study area includes properties located on both sides of a mile-long stretch of South Andrews Avenue that extends from the Tarpon River (north) to State Road 84 (south).
Through a multi-leveled public planning process that included stakeholder interviews and a weeklong design charrette, the South Andrews Avenue Master Plan resulted in a vision document that will guide future redevelopment within the study area. The Planning & Zoning Department is in the process of working on zoning amendments to implement the vision for the area.

Draft SRAC-SA: Illustrations of Design Standards
As a next step in the implementation of the South Andrews Avenue Master Plan, the City of Fort Lauderdale is proposing a zoning ordinance to meet the key elements of the accepted master plan.
On Monday, June 28, 2010 the Planning and Zoning Department hosted a public meeting at the Broward General Hospital for all area stakeholders and interested parties. This meeting was held to present the proposed zoning standards to address those key elements of the master plan document for the study area.
While additional revisions may be made as the document moves forward through the process, the City of Fort Lauderdale planning and zoning staff are pleased to provide a document that represents the vision and goals of the South Andrews Avenue Master Plan & Development Guide.

On January 4, 2011, the City Commission approved the SRAC-SA Zoning Ordinance and SRAC-SA: Illustrations of Design Standards on second reading to implement the South Andrews Avenue Master Plan & Development Guide.
